License and Use

We want you to play, tinker, and share. Here is where the door is open, and where we ask you to knock first.

This page explains how you may use Pathways to Adventure — the rules, the content, and the brand marks. The final license terms are being prepared; the summary below reflects our intent.

Using the rules at your table

Once you own a copy, the game is yours to run. Play it with your friends, house-rule it, print pages for your own table, and make the story your own. That is the whole point.

Community and fan content

We welcome fan-made adventures, characters, and tools. A community-content license spelling out exactly what you may share and sell will be published here at v1. Until then, please create for love, credit the game, and reach out if you plan to charge for it.

The name and the world-die logo

The Pathways to Adventure name and the world-die logo are our trademarks. You may use them to refer to the game, but please use the marks exactly as provided — do not trace, recolor, redraw, or imply an official endorsement without our permission.

Commercial use

Selling products that build on our content requires a license from us. When the community-content terms open at v1, most fan projects will have a clear, friendly path to publish.

The Foundry VTT system

The official Foundry-native system is distributed under its own release terms, shown with the system when it publishes. Those terms cover installation and use inside Foundry VTT.

Third-party and open licenses

Any fonts, artwork, or software included under third-party or open licenses are credited with their terms. Those terms govern those materials.
